The Spring Edit

Welcome Spring! With the new season everyone will be looking for new pieces to update their wardrobe. Here is my list of the essential updates and necessities for this season:

A Bikini in an Interesting Cut.
There are so many choices out there at the moment, especially here in Australia. I'm loving the new shapes by Made By Dawn, available at Desordre. Above is the Sea Shell Bikini, which comes in several different new season shades.

An All-Rounder Handbag.
It's so hard to find something that will fit all your essentials, go with everything, and not outdate itself in months. The Saint Laurent Sac Du Jour is perfect - not only does it come in various colours and textures, but it's the perfect size and shape to take you through this spring.

Statement Jewels
Dylan Lex is a genius. Each piece by this new jewellery label is unique and a result of extensive work. A neck piece like this will add a wow-factor to any outfit this spring.

A Fresh Spring Scent
Everyone has different tastes, but I'm loving Balmain's Ivoire perfume for this season.

 Ankle Boots with Edgy Detailing.
I've chosen Winston Wolfe's Beatrix boot as well as Loeffler Randall's Emerson Bootie in white. Both these beauties will get you from day to night effortlessly, plus they're way more exciting than some of the plainer styles out there at the moment.

A Sweet Smelling Abode
Right now Palm Beach Collection are my absolute favourites (especially the Coconut Lime), but you can't go wrong with Glasshouse's Taaha (Vanilla Caramel) or Marseille (Gardenia) candles either!

The Bodycon Dress
Perfect for warm nights out, the Nookie Stadium dress comes in a dozen different colours and looks amazing with a pair of heels and a statement piece of jewellery.

Modern and Classic Nails
This season opt for cool whites, jet blacks, fawns, beiges and nude pinks. For nights out, go for metallics and chromes.

A Bright Lip.
Make like Cara and go for a flaming orange, or keep it classic with a coral red or fuchsia.

Sport Luxe Pieces.
Dion Lee's Neck Halter Top is perfect for nights out. Team with leather pants or a black pencil skirt for a modern evening outfit.

A Sleek Phone Case.
Because we're on our phones so much these days, it could be said that it's become an everyday fashion accessory. Make it something to be noticed with a simple designer case. I love the Marc Jacobs ones - they come in three different colours and won't go out of style. Available from Bloomingdales.

Statement Underwear.
This season the shapes have changed. Cutaway tanks and low back pieces mean you'll need something extra to show off underneath. I love this leather bra by Unif.m - it's sexy, comfortable, and it looks good under any spring outfit.

Laser Cut Leather Pieces.
For something different on a night out, go for a laser cut leather top. This one by Sass & Bide is ultra modern and cool. Piece it together with dark denims or silk pants and heels.

Reflective Sunglasses.
These are a spring and summer must-have. There are so many on the market on the moment, but my two picks are the classic Ray Ban aviator reflective sunnies and Pembroke's wayfarer style sunnies. The Pembroke sunnies are only $19.95 and are made by a couple of Aussie guys here in Sydney. I know I'll be stocking up for the festival season!

Dion Lee Resort 2014

From arguably Australia's most talented and innovative designer comes a collection that once again breaks the rules and writes new ones.

Since he appeared on the scene in 2009, 24-year-old Dion Lee has wowed the international fashion market with his groundbreaking designs, innovative technologies and his gift for immaculate tailoring. This collection is no exception.

Above are a few of my favourite pieces (I've already made a space in my wardrobe for the leather jacket with the blue detailing and both the white and leather wrap tops), but to see the full collection and to pre-order, click here.
